An Update on My Creative Projects in 2021

Anyone who knows me will tell you that I am working on a bunch of creative projects in 2021, so I just wanted to share an update on how everything is going. In fact, I have kind of lost track of all the random stuff I have in the works, so I thought I would write a blog about some of them just to outline it all and get my thoughts straight. Here are some of the many creative projects I am working on in 2021.

My Hopes for the February 2021 Nintendo Direct

After the longest Nintendo Direct drought in recent memory, Nintendo has fired up hopes for a big 2021 release schedule by announcing a Nintendo Direct for February 17th at 5:00PM EST. This is not some short 15 minute partner showcase–this is a full-blown 50 minute Nintendo Direct with “information focused on available games like Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and games coming to Nintendo Switch in the first half of 2021.” With so many unknowns for this year, what can we expect to see in this presentation?

Ah Shit, Guess I Have to Train This Shiny Miltank

They say you can’t make a competitive Miltank, but what about a shiny Miltank? After getting booted from the Max Lair for getting curb-stomped by a Yveltal, I found that the Miltank I caught along the way was shiny! Since this is the first shiny I have found in Pokémon Sword and Shield, after approximately 180 hours of gameplay, I figure I am kind of obligated to make it work somehow.

Project Defenders: An Introduction

Gaming has always been a huge part of my life, which I guess is where the story of Project Defenders began. As a kid, I dreamed of making my own video game someday. I would draw out maps on graph paper, make up spells and attacks for characters, and come up with unique stories for these characters to experience. A couple of things always held me back, namely the coding and graphical aspects. Despite these handicaps, I decided that I want to push forward and create something fun with the limited knowledge I have.

My Reading List in 2020

Since 2020 was basically a wash for going out and doing things, I used it as an opportunity to take a crack at my 2020 reading list. I make it a habit to read before bed with a cup of hot tea, as I find it relaxes me and gets me ready to go to sleep. As such, I do a lot–and I mean a LOT–of reading. Here are some of the books I read in 2020, as well as what I thought about them as a whole.

My Fitness Journey in 2020 and Beyond

My closest friends know that 2020 was a particularly trying year for me (for reasons completely unrelated to COVID). At the end of 2019, I went through a devastating breakup, was experiencing a dependence on alcohol as a coping mechanism, and was significantly overweight. I took it upon myself to use 2020 as a catalyst for change in my life. This change led me to adopt a lifestyle that focuses on physical and mental health–and boy am I glad I did. Hopefully you will find some inspiration from my fitness journey in 2020.

Unboxing the Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light 30th Anniversary Edition

The day has come; Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light has finally been localized for a western audience. As a longtime Fire Emblem fan, I was ecstatic to hear it was finally releasing states-side on the Nintendo Switch. I knew I had to grab the 30th Anniversary special edition while I could. The second it was announced, I went online to pre-order it, but GameStop’s website wasn’t accepting pre-orders at the time. I sighed and stopped by my local store the next day, hoping by some miracle that I hadn’t missed my chance to pick up this unique piece of gaming history.

Welcome to the Show

Hey all. Glad you could make it! I’m just settling in here, but the good news is that the majority of the design work is just about done. Now I just need to get all of the service pages up and going, as well as figure out how in the holy hell I’m going to keep subscribers entertained. Either way, it should be a fun time, and I am happy to finally be taking a crack at this.

As always, thank you so much for the support. If you are a fan of what I produce, or you are just looking for something to fill the void in your life, look no further than my content. Stay tuned to see all I have in store for you.
